Given

  • Area of a square park is the same as of a rectangular park.
  • Side of square park = 60m
  • length of rectangle park = 90m

Find out

  • Find the breadth of rectangle

Solution

★ Area of square park = Area of rectangle park

➡ side × side = length × breadth

➡ 60 × 60 = 90 × breadth

➡ 3600 = 90 × breadth

➡ breadth = 3600/90

➡ breadth = 40 m

Hence, breadth of rectangle park is 40m

Additional Information

  • Area of circle = πr² where " r " is radius

  • Circumference of circle = 2πr

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b) where " l " is length and " b " is breadth

  • Perimeter of square = 4 × side

  • Area of rhombus = ½ × product of diagonals

  • Area of Parallelogram = base × height

Given:

The area of a square park is the same as of a rectangular park.

The side of the square park =60m

The length of the rectangular park=90m

According to the question,

Area of square park = Area of rectangular park

•.• Area of square = a^2

Area of rectangle = l × b

⇒ side×side=length×breadth

⇒60×60 = 90×breadth

 breadth =  \frac{60 \times 60}{90}

=40m

Thus, the breadth of the rectangular park is 40m.
