Step-by-step explanation:

Lets consider breadth is x and, as length is double the breadth, length is 2x

length = x and breadth = 2x

Perimeter = Sum of all sides

180 cm = length + breadth + length + breadth

180 cm = 2x + x + 2x + x

180 cm = 6x

So, x = 180cm / 6

Therefore x = 30 cm

But the solution is not 30

Resubsitute x in length and breadth

Length = 2x

= 2 × 30cm

= 60 cm

Breadth = x

= 30 cm

Answer:

Hey !!

Here is your answer

Let the breadth = x

Length = 2x

Perimeter of the rectangle = 2(l+b)

180 = 2(2x + x)

180 = 2(3x)

180 = 6x

x = 30

Breadth = 30m

Length = 2(30) = 60m

Area = l × b

Area = 60 × 30

Area = 1,800m².
