Hello mate..

\huge\mathfrak\underline\red{Solution :}

Given:

  • Mean of seven numbers = 45.
  • Mean of six numbers = 42. (As one number got excluded, 7 - 1 = 6.)

To Find:

The excluded number.

SOLUTION:

Mean of seven numbers = 45.

Sum of seven numbers = 45 × 7

=> 315.

Since, one number got excluded;

Mean of six numbers = 42.

Sum of six numbers = 42 × 6

=> 252.

Then,

The excluded number = Sum of seven numbers - Sum of six numbers.

=> 315 - 252

=> 63.

∴The excluded number is 63.

HOPE THIS HELPS YOU..
