Area of a trapezium

= 1/2(a+b)h

= 1/2(15+8)12

= 1/2 × 23 × 12

= 6 × 23

= 138 m^2

Solution :

Let us consider a trapezium ABCD .

Its parallel sides are AB and DC .

From the information given in the question, we can say that , AB = 15 cm and DC = 8 cm.

Now, the perpendicular distance between these sides is 12 m.

Area of A Trapezium :

> 1/2 * (Sum of parallel sides ) * ( Corresponding perpendicular distance between them )

> 1/2 * ( 15 + 8 ) * ( 12 )

> ( 15 + 8) * 6

> 23 * 6

> 138 m^2 .

This is the required area of the given trapezium .
