Step-by-step explanation:

2(l+b)=70

2(3x+2x)=70

2(5x)=70

x=7

dimensions

l=3*7=21cm

b=2*7=14cm

Question

Permeter of a rectangle is 70 cm . If the ratio of the length to breadth is 3:2 , find dimensions.

Answer

So , here perimeter is given that is 70 cm

let the ratios be x

Therefore , ratios be 3x and 2x

Now, as we know formula of perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

So , Perimeter of rectangle = 70cm

2(l + b) = 70cm

Putting the value of length and breadth in term of "x"

= 2(3x + 2x) = 70cm

= 2 × 5x = 70

= 10x = 70

= x = 70/10

x = 7

Now putting the value of x

So , length = 3x = 3 × 7 = 21

breadth 2x = 2 × 7 = 14
