Let the new potential difference be 3v [∵ It is tripled ]
And as resistance is fixed, so resistance = R
Now we know that,
Power (P) = V²/R
Putting the values,
⇒ P' = (3v)²/R
⇒ P' = 9v²/R
⇒ P' = 9 × (v²/R)
So we can that,
∴ Electric power increases by 9 times the initial value.
