My father got me a TVS champ during my 10 grade summer holidays. I was the first one to get a motorised vehicle amongst my friends and cousins.
I remember being very excited with the new addition to the family. It felt like I had suddenly developed a pair of wings and I just kept riding it all day.
As it was summer vacation, we had planned to travel to Bombay ( now Mumbai) to visit my uncle's family. It was the day of travel and the train was booked at 10.00 pm.
On the same day my cousin who is a year elder to me visited us in the morning . We all had fun and after lunch , I showed off my TVS Champ to him.
He was immediately keen to ride it. Unfortunately he had never ridden a motorised two wheeler earlier.
As it was a gearless vehicle and my cousin knew to ride a cycle, I just assumed that learning to ride a Champ would be pretty easy. I was also in a valiant mood and I volunteered to teach him.
