Let no. of boys be 13x and no. of girls be 11x.

Total no. of students = 504
i.e. 13x + 11x =504
24x = 504
x = 21

No. of boys = 13x =13×21 =273
No. of girls = 11x = 11×21 = 231

New no. of girls = 231 + 12 = 243

New ratio = 273÷243 = 91÷81 =91:81

Given:
Number of students is 504
The ratio of boys and girls= 13:11
Now let the number of boys be 13x and number of girls be 11x.
Now 13x+11x= 504
This shows that 24x= 504
x=504/24
=21
Now Number of boys is 13x= 13*21
=273
Now,
Number of girls increases by 12
The new number of girls be 11x+12
=11*21+12
=243
Now new ratio be-
273/243
=91/81
