Answer :-

The adjacent sides of parallelogram are 8m and 20m.

EXPLANATION

To Find :-

  • The lengths of adjacent sides of parallelogram.

Solution

Given that,

The ratio of two adjacent sides of parallelogram is 2:5

Perimeter of parallelogram = 56m

Assumption

Let us assume the sides of angles as 2x and 5x.

As we know that,

Opposite sides of parallelogram are opposite and equal.

Therefore,

  • 2x + 5x + 2x + 5x = 56

On solving,

→ 2x + 5x + 2x + 5x = 56

→ 7x + 7x = 56

→ 14x = 56

→ x = 56/14

→ x = 4

On solving, we got the value of x as 4.

Now, According the question,

The adjacent angles are :-

  • 2x = 2*4 = 8m
  • 5x = 5*4 = 20m

Hence, The adjacent angles are 8m and 20m.
