5. The side of a square tile is 10 cm. How many tiles can be fixed on one side of a wall which is 2.5 m long and 2 m
is 2.5 m long and 2 m high?

Sides of the wall = 2.5 meter and 2 meter

= 250cm and 200 cm

Area of the wall = 250 × 200= 50000 meter square

Area of 1 tile= 10× 10= 100 cm square

Number of tiles can be fixed on one side of a wall

= 50000/100

= 500 tiles
