Step-by-step explanation:

Decrease in temp per hr - 2

Initial temp - 10

Final temp = -8

Time = ?

Initial temp - Final temp = 10 - -8

= 18

18/2 = 9

time - 9 hrs

Temp at midnight = Initial temp + (24-12 into -2)

= 12 into -2

= -24

10 + -24 = -14 degree C
