Answer:

Volume is always Area * Height.

lbh=720.

18*8*h=720.

144h=720.

h=720/144.

h=5cm.

{\mathtt{ \large{\underline{\underline{Given }}}}}

  • volume = 720 cm³
  • length= 18cm
  • breath= 8cm

{\mathtt{ \large{\underline{\underline{To \:  find}}}}}

Height

{\mathtt{ \large{\underline{\underline{Solution}}}}}

The given box is in cuboidal shape.

So we know that the volume of cuboid is given as

{\underline{\boxed{\sf{{\color{red}volume  \: of  \: cuboid = length \times breath\times height }}}}}

 \mathtt \color{orange}{Let \:  us  \: assume \:  the \:  height \:  as  \: 'h'}

 \mathtt{ \underline{substitute \:  the  \: values} }

\sf{\implies 720 = 18×8× h} \\  \\ \sf{\implies h= \frac{720}{18×8}} \\  \\\sf{\implies \color{blue} h= 5 cm }
