Given :

There are 97 students in the class and 8148 blocks

The  blocks are divided equally among the students

To Find :

How many does each student get ?

Solution :

Number of students in the class = 97

Total number of blocks = 8148

Now these blocks are divided equally among the students , we need to find how many does each student get ,

\longrightarrow \sf  \dfrac{Total\ no.\ of\ blocks}{Total\ no.\ of\ students}

\longrightarrow \sf \dfrac{8148}{97}

\longrightarrow \sf 84

So , one student can get 84 blocks .

 \sf \underline{Given} :

  • There are 97 students in the class and 8148 blocks.

  • If the blocks are divided equally among the students,

 \sf \underline{To  \: Find} :

  • how many does each student get?

 \sf \underline{Solution \: } :

.

let the each student get x

 \underline{ \boldsymbol{According \: to \: the \: question\: }} :  \:

 \boxed{ \sf \leadsto \: x =  \frac{total \: number \: of \: blocks}{ \:  \:  \:  \:  \: total \: number \: of \: students}  }\\

Substitute the value :

 \sf \leadsto \: x =  \cancel{ \frac{8148}{97} } \\  \\  \sf \leadsto \: x  = \underline{84}

 \sf \underline{Verification} :

 \sf \leadsto \: x =  \frac{total \: number \: of \: blocks}{ \:  \:  \:  \:  \: total \: number \: of \: students}  \\  \\  \sf \leadsto \:84 =  \frac{8148}{97}  \\  \\  \sf \leadsto \:97 =  \cancel{ \frac{8148}{84} } \\   \\   \sf \leadsto \: \: 97 = 97 \underline{proved }\\

84 does each student get.
