5 There are three cars - A, B and c.
a) Car A covers 100 metre in 4 seconds.
6 Car B covers 200 metre in 5 seconds.
c) Car C covers 300 metre in 6 seconds.
in which car has the highest speed among the three cars?
Also write its speed.

Answer:

Car A :- 25m/s

Car B :- 40 m/ s

Car C:- 50 m/s

Thus, Car C has highest speed.

_____

car B will take 15 seconds to complete a distance of 600 m

_____

Car C travels 6 km (6000 m) in 2 minutes.

Explanation:

We know that Speed = Distance÷ time

therefore,

Speed of car A is 100m÷ 4s

= 25 m/s

Speed of car B = 200m ÷ 5s

= 40m /s

Speed of Car C = 300÷ 6

= 50 m/s

Hence, Car C has the highest speed.

______________________________________

Let time taken for Car b to cover 600 m be x.

(We know that Speed of car B is 40m/s).

Speed = Distance

________

time

Therefore, 40 = 600

_____

x

x = 600÷40

=15 seconds

______________________________________

Let the distance be z.

(we know that Speed of car C is 50m/s)

Therefore, 50 = z ÷ 120 { because I minute = 60 s, 2 mins = 120s}

Thus, z = 120× 50

= 6000.
