5. Three resistors 30,35 and 45 ohm are connected in series across 220 V mains. Calculate (a) Total resistance of the circuit ? (b) Current flowing through the circuit ?

Equivalent resistance equal to 5 + 10 + 15 Ohm= 30 ohm I=V/R I=30/30 I=1A Current through 10 ohm resistor will remain same that is equal to the total current in the circuit because the  resistor is connected in series Now potential difference in the 10 ohm resistor V=IR V=1*10 V=10V
