the mass no. of Oxygen is 16

And the Atomic no. is 8

So the no. of electrons present is 8

also

no. of electron = no. of protons = 8

Therefore

No. of electron in Oxygen = 8

No. of protons in Oxygen = 8

Neutron = Mass no. - Atomic no.

16-8 = 8
