• After the fall of Janata Party, Bharatiya Janata Party was formed by Jana Sangh in 1980.
• As their ideology 'Gandhian Socialism' is adopted by them. In 1984 it got only two seats in election of Lok Sabha.
• Then they adopted the mobilizing strategy of Hindus.
• The Ayodhya case was made by BJP as political and electoral plank. From Somnath to Ayodhya, Rathyatra was taken up by them to generate to public support.
• BJP government was remained in power after the formation of National Democratic Alliance from March 1998 and again from October 1999 to May 2004.
