energy consumed= 5×40×10 watt - hour
= 2000 watt- hour
= 2 kilo watt hour = 2 kwh
since 1 kwh = 1 unit
hence consumed energy is = 2 unit

Hours

= 50×40×10

=2000 watt hour

Since, 1 kwh = 1 unit
