1 ) Because of Construction of tube well in residential areas are prohibited as it loosens the soil layers and subsides the land. Lowering of water table occurs, soil becomes inaccessible for agricultural purposes.

2 )There is a uneven distribution of water over the globe including India because of uneven rainfall and different climatic conditions in different areas. Hence it occurs due to uneven climatic conditions and Rainfall.
