The molecular mass of that organic compound is 150 gm

- Isotonic solutions are the solutions which have the same osmotic pressure.

- So we have

π1 = π2

C1RT = C2RT

C1 = C2

( 5 / 100 ) / 60 = ( 12.5 / 100 ) / M

M = 12.5 × 12 = 150 gm

- Hence, the molecular mass of the organic compound will be 150 gm.
