Solution:

The given question is \tt{ x - (\dfrac{x-1}{2}) = 1 - (\dfrac{x-2}{3})}.

⇒ L.H.S. = \tt{ x - (\dfrac{x-1}{2}) } and R.H.S. = \tt{ 1 - (\dfrac{x-2}{3})}.

After solving the question, the value of x is 7/5.

Putting the value of x in L.H.S. we get,

L.H.S. = \tt{ \dfrac{7}{5} - (\dfrac{\dfrac{7}{5}-1}{2}) = \dfrac{7}{5} - \dfrac{(\dfrac{2}{5})}{2} = \dfrac{7}{5} - \dfrac{1}{5}}

⇒ L.H.S. = 6/5

Also, putting the value of x in R.H.S. we get,

R.H.S. = \tt{ 1 - (\dfrac{\dfrac{7}{5}-2}{3}) = 1 - \dfrac{(\dfrac{-3}{5})}{3} = 1 + \dfrac{1}{5} }

⇒ R.H.S. = 6/5

∵ L.H.S. = R.H.S. = 6/5

∴ Hence, the value of x is verified.
