Villi are small finger-like projections located in the walls of the small intestine. Their function is to increase the surface area in order to maximise the absorption of digested food.

Answer:

Villi are located in the small intestine. The inner wall of the small intestine has  thousands of finger-like outgrowths called villi. The villi increase the surface area  for absorption of the digested food. Each villus has a network of thin and small  blood capillaries. Which absorb nutritive components from digested food and supply  to each cell of the body through blood.
