Given:-

  • Acceleration,a = 4 m/s²

  • Mass,m = 6 kg

To be calculated:-

Calculate the force ,F .

Formula used:-

Force = mass × acceleration

Solution:-

We know that,

Force = mass × acceleration

★ Substituting the values of mass and acceleration in the above formula,we get:

Force = 6 × 4

Force = 24 kg.m/s²

Force = 24 N

Thus,the force required in this case is 24 Newtons.

Additional information:-

Force : A push or pull on a body is called Force.

  • Vector quantity [ it has magnitude as well as direction ]

  • S.I unit is Newton ( N )

  • C.G.S unit is dyne

  • 1 N = 10⁵ dyne

Acceleration: Rate of increase in velocity.

  • S.I unit is metres per second square ( m/s² ).
