5. What happened when the priests asked the Earth to garland the
Sky?

Answer:
I had an interesting discussion with a good friend of mine recently. We were talking about walking with God, ministry, and leadership.
He said, “Garland, I appreciate your passion for leadership. But, frankly, I want to be involved in and passionate about things that will last for eternity.
I asked my friend, “If I can show you from Scripture that leadership is part of God’s eternal plan, do you think you would be more passionate about it?”
He said that he would.
I asked him, “If I can demonstrate from Scripture that leadership will last through all eternity, would you commit yourself more to it?”
He said, “Yes.”
This wasn’t the first time that I’ve heard this sentiment from someone. Maybe that’s how you feel as well. Leadership is nice and good. But you wonder, why should I give myself to something that won’t last for all of eternity?
The Bible indicates, in at least four ways, that leadership has been and will be part of God’s eternal plan. Although none of the verses use the words lead or leadership, they all indicate the importance of leadership in God’s redemptive story.
