Answer: Blood is a type of fluid which runs in the blood vessels. It is composed of a fluid called plasma where different types of cells are suspended. There are two types of cells. These are:
1.) Red Blood Cells or RBC - These types of cells present in the body contains a pigment called haemoglobin. It binds with oxygen and transports to all parts and cells of the body. The presence of haemoglobin makes blood appear red.
2.) White Blood Cells or WBC - These cells help the body to fight against many diseases and protect our body from it.
3.) Platelets - This is a component of it . It helps in the clotting of body .
Then, it later helps in the recovery of wounds and injuries.
Functions of blood are :
1) It helps in the purification of deoxygenated blood into oxygenated blood
2.) It transports oxygen to the cells , take carbon-dioxide and send it out from the body.
