Strong bases is compound that ionizes completely to give large amount of OH  

 ions in aqueous solution. Weak bases is compound that do not ionize completely and gives few OH  

 ions in aqueous solution.

strong bases ionise completely in water, producing huge amount of hydroxide ions (H ion) . Generally basic or alkali solution of ph 8,9 and 10 are considered weak bases or alkalis. Weak bases ionise partially in water, producing less amount of hydroxide ions (H ion).
