The speed of the train is 41.6 m/s

GIVEN

Distance travelled by train in 1 minute = 2500 meters.

TO FIND

Speed of the train

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above problem as follows;

It is given,

Distance travelled by the car = 2500 metres

Time taken by the train = 1 minute.

We know that,

Speed = Distance/time

We will fist convert the given time in seconds.

So,

1 minute = 60 seconds.

Putting the values in the above formula we get,

Speed = 2500/60 = 41.6 m/s

Hence, The speed of the train is 41.6 m/s
