Some kind of edible banana.

I’m no botanist but I would suspect bananas are as complete a dietary choice as a fruit can be. I also suspect they are also only found in warmer climates with plenty of rainfall, so I wouldn’t be freezing or die of dehydration. And if bananas are indigenous, there will likely be other tropical fruits, including coconuts.

Now… if my concern is with escaping the island that changes things.
