The following are the achievements of the Ahoms:

1. The Ahom general Lalit Bhorchukan in 1617 led to the defeat of the Mughal forces in the Battle of Saraighat. They fought and won against the Mughal empire seventeen times. They almost put an end to the ever-expanding wave of the Mughal Empire.
2. The Ahoms also created a new state after suppressing the state of the older regimes. They led the society towards betterment after years of suffering under the rules of the emperors and kings.
