Given:

What will be the length of the string obtained by joining two strings of length 84 cm and 4 m?

To find:

The length of the string in centimetres

Solution:

We know,

\boxed{\bold{1 \:meter= 100\:centimeters}}

So, based on the above conversion rate we will convert 4 m into centimeters.

4 meters = 4 × 100 cm = 400 cm

The length of 1st string = 84 cm

The length of the 2nd string = 400 cm

Therefore,

After joining the two strings, the length of the string so obtained will be,

= 84 cm + 400 cm

= 484 centimeters

Thus, the length of the string obtained by joining two strings of length 84 cm and 4 m is → 484 centimeters.
