Answer:

The point (-3,4) will be plotted in third quadrant

Option (c) lll quadrant

Explanation :-

(x,y)

(-3,-4)

x = - 3 & y = - 4

In 1 quadrant the x and y coordinates should be positive but we have negative points.

In 2 quadrant the x any y coordinates should be negative and positive.

In 4 quadrant th x and y coordinates should be positive and negative.

Where as In 3 quadrant x any y coordinates should be negative.

Correct Question:

5. Which is the quadrant to plot the point (-3,-4)?

a) I quadrant

b) II quadrant

c) III quadrant

d) IV quadrant

Now,

Look at the attached image to get the name of the quadrants

Now,

The first number is (-3) which is X'-axis,

And it has a negative sign so it will be towards X' axis

And the second number is (-4) which is Y' axis

As the negative sign indicates.

Now,

Pointing to the point (-3,-4), we get to know that the point is one the Quadrant III

Hence,

Option C is the correct answer, i.e. III quadrant.
