➛ Urea is the waste product and a nitrogenous waste that is found in liver. It is the end product of protein motebolism. It dissolves in blood in kidneys excretes out of the body in urine.

Others are components of blood:

  • Blood platelets are known as thrombocytes. They are present in blood. They help in preventing the loss of blood as they cause clotting of blood at the site of injury.

  • Water is also component which is present in the blood especially in plasma. About 90% of blood plasma is made up of water.

  • Red blood cells (RBCs) are known as erythrocytes. They are present in blood. They contain a complex chemical compound called hemoglobin, which give combines with oxygen to form oxyhaemoglobin and it gives red colour to the blood. It acts as a carrier of oxygen from lungs to tissues.
