He exempted the Hindus from paying jizya. - This statement regarding Feroz Tughlaq is not correct

Answer: Option (c)

Explanation:

Feroz was elevated to the throne due to the nobles and Ulemas. He had a religious temperament and he received religious education.

His mother was a Hindu lady. Feroz felt that he must prove that he is not inferior to those Muslims whose parents were both Muslims and Hindus so he persuaded the religious policy as propounded in the Quran.

He led his own life according to Quran injunctions and rejected the non-Islamic traditions. He ruled according to Shariat and tried to control the life of his people accordingly.

He again tried to reimpose the authority and position of Ulemas. Against the policy of Alauddin Khilji and Mohammad-bin-Tughlaq, he began to take the advice of the Ulemas in religious and political matters and followed them with priority.
