5 \times \frac{1}{2}  =  \frac{11}{2 }meters \\ it \: is \: total \: length \: of \: rope \: now \: we \: divide \: it \: into \: 12equal \: pieces \\  \frac{11}{2}  \div 12 \\  \frac{11}{2}  \times  \frac{1}{12}  =  \frac{11}{24} meters

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let l be the total length

L= (5×2+1)/2

L = 11/2

No. Of pieces = 12

The lenght of each piece = 11/2×1/12

= 11/24

= 0.4 m

Therefore lenght od each piece is 0.4 m
