A sports car is long and smooth - streamlined. The air can slide over it quickly. In a more flat-fronted vehicle like a truck there is much more air friction. So, with both air and water, a streamlined shape reduces friction and helps the boat or car go quickly.

Answer:
Fast-moving vehicles are given streamline shape as their streamlined shape cuts through the air very easily and thus increased their speed. The streamlined shape is given to aeroplanes in the air and ships in the water to reduce the fluid friction.
