The light does not pass directly through the materials. It changes direction many times and is scattered as it passes through. Therefore, we cannot see clearly through them and objects on the other side of a translucent object appear fuzzy and unclear.

we cannot see properly through translucent objects because when the light is passing through those objects most of those light particles are getting observed in that translucent objects or it is getting scattered show only some part of the light is able to reflect does we can't see properly through translucent objects.
