Modes of infection :

  • As, fungal diseases are transmitted, thus the can be transmitted from a healthy person to a diseased person , so having a physical contact with a diseased person, cause fungal infections.
  • By sharing clothes , combs, slippers, or dishes etc.with a diseased person.
  • Fungal diseases can also enter to our body through the food we eat as there are fungal spores present in the soil and from there the enter our food causing diseases.
  • Fungal spores are also present in the air , so breathing polluted air can also cause fungal diseases.

Modes of prevention :

  • By avoiding sharing dishes, combs,slippers etc with a diseased person
  • By cleaning the vegetables thoroughly before consuming.

Some examples of fungal diseases are athlete's foot, ringworm etc

Fungal diseases are also common in plants with names-Rust,Red rot,Wilt,Smut And Tikka.
