5(x+1) = 4(y+1)

5x+5 = 4y+4

5x-4y = -1 -----> eq 1.

2(x-10) = -1(y-3)

2x-20 = -y+3

2x+y = 23 ------> eq 2.

multiply eq1. by 1 and eq2. by 4....

5x-4y = -1 -------> eq 3.

8x+4y = 92 -------> eq 4.

adding eq3. and eq4.

we get.....

13x = 91

x = 91/13

x = 7

putting x in eq2.

2x+y = 23 ---> 2(7)+y = 23

14+y = 23

y = 23-14

y = 9

hence, x=7 & y=9
