Answer:D
5^(x -1) +5^(2- x) =5^3+1
Since base is same we can add all the powers.
5^(x -1+2- x)= 5^4
5^(2x+1)= 5^4..... equation1
Now power of left hand side will be equal to the power of the right hand side.
2x+1=4
2x=3
x=3/2.
Simplification,
from equation 1
5^(2*3/2+1)=5^4
5^(3+1)=5^4
5^4=5^4
625=625
