Answer:

5(x-2)+3(x+1)=41

5x-10+3x+3=41

8x-7=41

8x=41+7

8x=48

x=48/8

x=6

Now, we have to substitute(for your convenience):

5(6-2) + 3(6+1) = 41

5*4 +3*7 = 41

20 + 21 =41

41 = 41

Hence, PROVED!!!!
