multiply the numbers with the numbers which are in brackets...

5x-10 + 4x+4 = 3

9x - 6 = 3

9x = 3 + 6

9x = 9

x = 9 / 9

x = 1

if a - comes to right side it becomes +

if a number is multiplied in left side....it will be divide when it goes to rightside

Answer:

first open the bracket i.e. multipy 5 with x and -2 and 4 with x +1

5 *x - 5*2 + 4*x + 4*1 = 3

5x -10 + 4x + 4 = 3

Now add the numbers

Tip: add or subtract number without a coefficient with the number without the coefficient i.e. 5x +4x =9x

Also,

Add or subtract number with a coefficient with the number with the coefficient i.e. -10+4= -6

hence,

5x - 10 + 4x + 4 = 3

9x -6 = 3

Now , take -6 to the right side of the equal to

Hence

9x = 3 + 6( also when we shift any no. from left to right or right to left then signs change from + to - and - to + )

9x = 9

x = 9/9 ( on shifting multiplication changes to division and vice versa)

hence x = 1
