x = 1/2 & y = 1/3  if 5/x -3/y =1 , 3/2x +2/3y =5

Step-by-step explanation:

5/x  - 3/y   = 1

=> 5y - 3x  = xy

3/2x  + 2/3y  = 5

multiplying by 6xy both sides

=> 9y + 4x  = 30xy

=> 9y + 4x = 30(5y - 3x)

=> 9y + 4x = 150y - 90x

=> 94x = 141y

=> 2x = 3y

9y + 4x  = 30xy

9y + 2(3y)  = 15(3y)y

=> 15y = 15 * 3 y * y

=> y = 1/3

2x = 3y

=> 2x = 1

=> x = 1/2
