Answer:   x  = 1/2., y = 1/3

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{5}{x}-\frac{3}{y} = 1.... eq 1

3/2x+2/3y=5.... eq2

from eq 2,

5/x-3/y=1

(5y -3x) / xy = 1

5y - 3x = xy

5y = xy + 3x

x(y + 3) = 5y

x = 5y/(y +3)..... eq3

From eq2,

3/2(5y/(y+3)) + 2 /3y = 5

3/(10y/y+3) + 2 /3y = 5

3 * (y+3)/10y + 2 /3y = 5

(3y + 9)/10y + 2 /3y = 5

(9y + 27 +20)/30y = 5

9y + 47 = 150y

150y - 9y = 47

141y = 47

y = 47/141

y = 1/3

From eq1,

x = 5(1/3)/(1/3 + 3)

  x  = 1/2
