Answer:

Here is ur answer Hope it's help you

Step-by-step explanation:

x/3+y/4=11,

5x/6−y/3=−7

Simplify the both equations:

3

x

+

4

y

=11⇒4x+3y=132 and

6

5x

3

y

=−7⇒5x−2y=−42

We have,

4x+3y=132...(1)

5x−2y=−42...(2)

Let us use elimination method to solve the given system of equation.

Multiply (1) by 2 and (2) by 3. And add both the equations.

23x=138

8x+6y=26415x−6y=−126

x=

23

138

=6

From (1):4(6)+3y=132

y=108/3=36

Answer x=6 and y=36

let 1/x = a and 1/y = b

so, the equations become

5a - 6b = 3. (i)

a + 4b = 11. (ii)

multiplying (ii) by 5 we get, 5a + 20b = 55. (iii)

now, subtracting (iii) from (i) we get

5a - 6b - 5a - 20b = 3 - 55

or -26b = -52

or b = -52 ÷ -26

or b = 2

now, substituting value of b in (i),

5a - 12 = 3

or 5a = 3 + 12

or 5a = 15

or a = 3

Here 1/x = 3 or x = 1/3

and 1/y = 2 or y = 1/2.
