5x + 45. = 12x -60 +7

5x + 45 = 12x - 53

5x -12x = -45-53

-7x = -98

Cancel - on both sides

7x = 98

x = \frac{98}{7}

x = 14

Verification:-

Substuite value of x to Get LHS=RHS

5(x + 9) = 12(x -5) + 7

5( 14 + 9 ) = 12(14-5) + 7

5 ( 23) = 12(9) + 7

115 = 108 + 7

115 = 115
