let 1/x+y = a and 1/x-y = b
5a-2b= -1
15a+7b= 10
so 15a - 6b = -3
15a + 7b =10
now subtracting the equations we get
a = 1
5*1 - 2b = -1
so b = 3
now 1/x+y = a =1
so x+y= 1
and 1/x-y = b
so x-y = 1/3
now solving both the equations we get
x= 4/3 and y = 1
