Step-by-step explanation:

I assume my present age= x yrs

& Son's present age = y yrs

=> 5yrs ago my age= x-5

5yrs ago son's age = y-5

5yrs later my age = x+5

5yrs later son's age = y+5

As per 1st condition:

x-5 = 3(y-5) ……………(1)

=> x-5 = 3y -15

=> x-3y = -10 …………….(1)'

As per 2nd condition:

x+5 = 2(y+5) ………….(2)

=> x+ 5 = 2y +10

=> x-2y = 5 ………….(2)’

Now by solving equations (1)' & (2)' by elimination method we get

x= 35 , y= 15

ANS: my present age= 35 yrs

Son's present age= 15 yrs

i hope it will helps you☺

thank u
