present age of son=x
before 5yrs his age was x-5
before 5yrs his dad's age was 7(x-5)=7x-35
present age of dad=7x-35+5=7x-30
After 5years,
son's age=x+5
dad's age=7x-30+5=7x-25
By the problem,
3(x+5)=7x-25
3x+15=7x-25
x=10
