5 years ago kantabai was 4 times as old as her daughter rukku . 5 years later , her age will be 6 more than 2 times rukkus age. how old are they now? do with problem

let rukkus present age be y 
so their ages before 5 years will be x-5 and y-5
so
x-5=4(y-5)                    (1)
and theis ages after five years would be x+5 and y+5
so
x+5=2(y+5)+6              (2)
solving (1)
x=4y-15                       (3)
substituting value of x from (3) in (2)
4y-10=2y=16
4y-2y=16+10
2y=26
y=13 years
x=4y-15
x=52-15
x=37 years 
therefore kantabais and rukkus present ages are 13 and 37 respectively
