so, 5(z + 3) = 5z + 5 × 3
4(2z + 1) = 4 × 2z + 4

or, 5z + 5 × 3 = 4 × 2z + 4
or, 5z + 15 = 8z + 4
or, 15 - 4 = 8z - 5z
